Leadership

Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity: I am a Founding Father of the Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. Joining Delta Sig was the best decision I made in college and helped inspire me to get involved in other areas of leadership. I served 3 years on the executive board, two of them as President. I was a also Marketing and Communication intern at our National Headquarters in Indianapolis, In during the summer of 2011. I have facilitated at a number of national leadership events including the Summit and Regional Leadership Academy.  I am not involved at the alumni level as the Director of Public Relations for the Silicon Valley Alumni Association.

Men Creating Change: mobilizes and inspires collegiate men to prevent men’s violence against women. MCC builds men’s capacity to challenge harmful aspects of traditional masculinity, to value alternative visions of male strengths and to embrace their vital role as allies with women in fostering healthy relationships and gender equality. MCC is an affiliate of the national organization Men Can Stop Rape and San Jose State University’s Office of Student Conduct and Ethical Development.

I joined MCC in the summer of 2009 without having any experience in the area but I am a firm believer that you never need an excuse to do something good. I have learned a lot from my experience in MCC and it has already helped me become a better person. I know that the efforts of MCC are helping to make San Jose State University a safer place for everyone. I will continue to be advocate for the stances that MCC stands for. MCC is affiliated with the national organization Men Can Stop Rape.
